Phyrst Community

We believe community is..."People living in authentic, genuine relationships."

 - Where messed up and broken people are given the opportunity to refocus their lives, to live a better life focused on others first, grounded in gratitude and committed to becoming all that we, as individuals and as a group, are intended to become.

 - Where hurting people are identified, rescued, and brought back to health in an environment of unconditional love and unending grace.

 - It is our hope that through relationships many people, throughout the community, will come to the Phyrst Church and ultimately come into a relationship with Jesus. We desire for everyone who graces the door of the Phyrst Pub to be introduced to the Son of God, Jesus Christ.

 - We desire to bring the authentic and genuine community of the first century church (Acts 2:42-47) to the people of the twenty-first century. By doing so, we believe that lives will be impacted and souls will be saved.

Dear Jeremiah and Leadership,

All I can say is ... WAY TO BE JESUS WITH SKIN ON IN THE MARKETPLACE!! :o)

I am the wife of Pastor Steve Mikel, Souljourn Christian Fellowship in Celebration Florida. Steve and I have always been passionate about being 'in the marketplace' and not the standard 'build the city on the hill and they will come' mentality.

It's not knocking the 'city on the hill'. It's just the realization that God should never be 'boxed in' to any one specific style or deliverable. As long as the basic truths are there, why wouldn't a loving God and Savior use every venue/outlet possible? That makes Him UNBEATABLE in my book! ;o)

Your willingness to be given the vision, to be passionate in following His lead, and to stand firm no matter what others think or say, is both refreshing and God confirming!

Steve created a Madagascar spoof of our vision that has been a big hit here. When you have a chance, check it out at www.SouljournFellowship.org

You are in our prayers, and we believe we will be in yours as well.

May God continue to use you and Phyrst Church to step out, reach out, and make a difference in the lives of those He places in your path!

Jesus is ALIVE and that changes EVERYTHING!

GO GOD!!
